history at the CBFVA General Assembly
Our thanks to the group of 185+ Fellowship Baptists who joined
together this year at First Baptist Church, Virginia Beach to celebrate
the 17th birthday of CBF Virginia. Below are a few history-making
"firsts" we experienced at the CBFVA General Assembly:
- First
Skype conversation with Brian McLaren and Bo Prosser.
- First
birthday celebration at the church where CBFVA was born 17 years ago.
- First
"Being the Presence of Christ" dinner gatherings to engage friends and
community.
- First of a series of Missional Conversations to
engage our Fellowship passions.
- First offering for Student.Go
that gleaned over $3,000 to support students in missions. (Thank you!)
- First
general assembly to be streamed live via USTREAM.
- First of many
creative gatherings to encourage Fellowship Baptists to drop their nets
and follow Jesus.
